Chairs with a headrest, such as Gesture, are found to support overall posture more effectively than chairs without. Utilizing the headrest can reduce pressure on your back, support positive posture, and allow you to sit more comfortably even during long workdays without the risk of damage to your neck and spine.
Ideally, when sitting in a chair with a headrest, the headrest should be adjusted to the base of the back of your head. You should be able to sit comfortably in your chair without feeling like your head is being pushed downward or to the front at all. When adjusting your chair, try to keep your head over your shoulders and not in front of your shoulders, to make sure your posture is being supported as naturally as possible.
In addition to the various ergonomic benefits provided by Gesture (such as the adjustable armrests and the 3D LiveBack support), the additional headrest allows you to work more comfortably by removing additional pressure from your spine, neck, and shoulders. The headrest helps you to maintain a more natural posture and take some of the weight off, no matter how long your workday.
Gesture’s headrest is adjustable to a range of positions, in order to support a better overall sitting posture. The headrest can be adjusted simply by grabbing the headrest with both hands, and tilting it to the angle your head naturally sits at.
