Your items will arrive via FedEx Ground, Inside Delivery Only or our White Glove Delivery & Installation. Each product description page indicates the options available for that particular product.

 

FedEx Ground

  • Free shipping & free returns are offered on eligible products to locations within the continental U.S.
  • Alaska, Hawaii & Ontario, Canada:

    Products shipped to these areas will be assessed a 7% additional charge to cover added freight charges as well as customs and duty fees. The 7% charge is calculated based on the subtotal of your order (before tax) and is in US Dollars. For example, if your order subtotal was $100 you would be charged a $7 charge for shipping.

 

Inside Delivery Only

  • This service has a nominal fee starting at $75 for the first product and $15 for each additional item.
  • Inside Delivery service is provided in the Continental United States with our larger items and is recommended for larger or fragile but that don't require significant assembly.
 

White Glove Delivery & Installation

  • This service has a nominal fee starting at $175 for the first product and $25 for each additional item.
  • Oversized products such as the Walkstation and Sit-to-Walkstation are $450 for the first item and $300 for each additional item.
  • White Glove Delivery service is provided in the Continental United States with our larger or fragile items and for products that require substantial assembly.

What to Expect:

  • You will be notified by email with a FedEx tracking number when your order ships.
  • Tracking numbers may take up to 24 hours to be uploaded to the FedEx tracking systems. Therefore, delivery status information may not be available until the following business day. Please call us if after 24-hours you are unable to see your delivery status and we will look into it right away.
 

What to Expect:

  • You will be notified by email when your order ships from Steelcase to the local delivery agent. The local delivery agent will receive your order within 7-10 days from the day your order ships.
  • Within 72 hours of receiving the product, the local delivery agent will call you to schedule your delivery appointment. Deliveries are made between the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday and will be scheduled within a 4 hour window of your preference.
  • Upon delivery please inspect the item(s). You will need to sign a Proof of Delivery receipt. Please note any damage on this receipt. If refusing delivery due to damage, please note "refused due to damage" on the receipt.
  • The delivery agent will unload the items and place them inside your door.

Shipping outside the United States

  • If you reside outside of the U.S. or Ontario Canada and are interested in our products, please visit your local Steelcase dealer or an Authorized Steelcase Retailer.
  • If you are shopping from Canada, please note that everything on our site is priced in US$. Your credit card company will convert your purchase into the equivalent fee in $CND. Click here to reference the current currency exchange rates.
  • Products shipped to Ontario, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii will be assessed a 7% up-charge to cover additional freight charges as well as customs and duty fees. Shipping damage

  • If your shipment is damaged, please call Customer Service at 800.516.3454 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST or contact us via email. We will work with you to determine the best course of action.

Track order shipment

  • Most of our products are make-to-order and ship in 6-8 business days. 
  • We stock our best-selling chairs (Leap Next Day, Think 3D Knit Next Day, Leap Lounge), and ship those soon after receiving your order.
  • Many of the higher-end furniture pieces have a longer lead time.  Each product page provides more specific shipping information.
  • After placing your order, you can track its status by clicking the “My Account” link, located at the top right corner of any page on our site.
  • You will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped and tracking information within 24-48 hours of shipment.
