I sat in the the Uno for the first time at my school and it was the most comfortable chair I ever sat in. I looked up the chair online and bought one soon after. It conforms to my back perfectly and the spring mechanism really makes it like a combination of sitting in a hammok and floating.

I use one of these chairs at work. I like it so much I had to buy one for my home office as well. The hammock motion allows for enough body movement to keep one from getting stiff whilst sitting for long periods of time. After using a hammock chair, I would find it difficult to go back to using a static chair.

The only real con is the thinness of the seat cushion. If the chair pad were a bit thicker, I would be happy to work all day.

I would like to mention that we also use dozens of the hard plastic cousin to this chair [the Cachet model] at work. They get very heavy use and, after 5+ years, show no evidence of wear. These two chair styles have made me a fan of the Steelcase hammock design.

This is a really comfortable chair as long as you're not a bigger person because the arms don't adjust and the metal could press against your legs. I fit fine in the seat and find it very comfortable. It doesn't have a lot of adjustments, which is why I only gave it 4 stars but honestly it is very comfortable without them. As a side note, some of these other comments sound like they were written by Steelcase.

I purchased the Uno for my home office and I couldn't be happier. The chair is very comfortable and extremely well built. The Charles Perry design is light, modern, and graceful. And, all of this at a fraction of the price of many competitors who offer products that Ridley Scott might have featured in the original "Alien" film. Overall, a great product that I would recommend to anyone looking for style, comfort, and affordability.

Having tested dozens of office chairs at all price points, I believe that this is the only chair that is both reasonably priced and exceptionally comfortable. The amazing thing is that it achieves this comfort without a zillion custom controls - the hammock-style hanging seat positions itself perfectly each time. I am much happier having bought one for my office - I only wish I could fit one into my (tiny, closet-based) home office. (How much do I wish it? So much that I actually transport my chair home for weekends when I have a lot of work to do.) I highly recommend this chair!

Service and delivery comments:

My delivery took longer than expected, but I was getting a non-standard color so perhaps that was the delay. The chair arrived in perfect condition and assembled in a matter of 1-2 minutes. It took me longer to clear away the packaging than to set up the chair. I was overall satisfied with the ordering and delivery process; the only thing that could have improved it would have been a bit more communication during order assembly and shipping so I knew when to expect it.
