Comments about Steelcase Think - Fabric:

I use this chair as my home office chair. It has a neat style and seems to have enough support and adjustability. My wife says it's pretty comfy to her, but I think that this one is not really for me. My wife is 5'3 and I am 6', but I am definitely not "big". I just don't like the support on my back. It's either the angle or the strength always not right for me if I sit there for a while. The support on my leg is somehow not enough for me compared to the Leap chair I used in my company office even I extend the seat out to the limit. I love the Leap chair in my office, and since this one is a little cheaper so I just gave it a try. But these two chairs cost a couple hundred bucks anyway, if I were to choose again, I would definitely spend a little more for a Leap chair.

Comments about Steelcase Think - Fabric:

I have the leather seat with mesh back and lumbar support. I think this is the best configuarion. The back breathes and the seat is beyond comfy. I like that I can slide the seat in and out. The armrests are the absolute best in the industry. The lumbar support is a neccessity with this chair. I added it on afterwards and it made the chair from good to excellent as the lower back support is a little lacking without the optional lumbar bar which easily slides up and down to your liking. I use it either all the way up or all the way down depending on the time of day etc. I love how spatious and luxurious the seat feels while sitting, it manages to feel spacious, yet look compact at the same time. This is a truly impressive feat of design and engineering. I never feel tethered or claustrophibic in this chair, yet I feel supported and contained in the proper manner. I have done much research and sit tests and I think this is one of the finest office chairs available. The only downside of sorts is that I am so comfortable that sometimes it makes me a bit slow to actually work!

Comments about Steelcase Think - Fabric:

This chair is simply awful. I guess there are different versions of it however. The ones we have are the fabric covered, fixed arm or no arm, style. In a office of over 200 people, not one person likes this chair. Adjusting the seat is difficult. By the end of the week, even with the seat slid out as far as it will go, my legs are swollen due to the lack of support. The back support is too low and the seat continually pushes us out of it...it's like we are sliding out of it all day. Several here have brought in their own chairs or gotten Drs notes to not have to use these. Like, I said, just awful. If I could give it 0 stars, I absolutely would.

Comments about Steelcase Think - Fabric:

First thought these chairs looked very comfortable for an office chair, sitting for 8-12 hours per day. After 2 years of this, my back is constantly sore and I need to go the chiropractor weekly.

Despite all the adjustments possible, it either feels like I'm falling deep into the chair or the chair is pushing me off the seat.

The seat is an unforgiving "poof" of support, and it does not lean back in unison with the chair back.

                A:

The Think Series seating products have been tested to increased loads and forces that exceed the ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 Standard. These tests ensure Think chairs will support users weighing up to 300 lb. with no loss of performance.

                A:

Technically arms can be removed and the chair still be usable. If this is done, we recommend to order a part called "decorative plug" this part covers the holes that will be left when removing the arms. Unfortunately this part is not available through the Steelcase Store, you will need to contact one of our authorized dealers so they can order this part for you.

Yes. The seat glides forward and back. Just lift the bar to move the seat, and then release it to lock the seat where it feels best.
