How do I redeem a promotional code / coupon code?
On the shopping cart page (and check out page) enter your promotional code or coupon code in the “coupon code” box and click the “Add” button. The discount offered by this promotional code will then be applied to your purchase price.

What forms of payment do you accept?
The Steelcase Online Store accepts Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit, debit, or check cards associated with a billing address within the United States and most United States territories. Debit cards and check cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order.  We also accept payment via your PayPal Account.

What types of PayPal payments to you accept?
PayPal is a simple and easy way to pay for your Steelcase order when shopping online. Simply select PayPal upon checkout when paying for your items. You’ll be asked to log into your PayPal account using your email address and password. Once you confirm the information on the PayPal page, click to confirm your payment and your all set. You’ll be automatically redirected back to the website of Steelcase Store to review your order.
When checking out with PayPal, your financial information will only be stored into your PayPal account and not shared with Steelcase Store.

When will my credit card be charged?
Whether you order online or phone in your order to Steelcase, you may pay by credit, debit, or check card. When you provide Steelcase with your card information, Steelcase will obtain a pre-approval from the card company for the amount of the order, which may result in a corresponding block on your available credit while the pre-approval remains in place. Steelcase will not bill your credit card or process a transaction under your debit or check card until your order ships. If your order contains multiple items and they ship at different times, you may see multiple charges on your credit card statement.

What is a credit card security code (CVV)?
The Steelcase Store requires the credit, debit, or check card security code for your card for any telephone or online purchase to protect against the unauthorized use of your credit card by other persons. The security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your card that may be printed on the face of your card above the embossed account number (if American Express), or on the back of your card, on the signature panel (if Visa, MasterCard). Why am I getting an error using my credit card?
There are many reasons why you might be getting an error. Below are some common items to check as to why your card cannot be processed:

Do I have to pay sales tax?
Yes. Many states/provinces require the payment of sales tax even if the item is purchased out of state/province. Many companies put the burden of paying this sales tax on the customer. Rather than making customers worry about filling out the appropriate tax forms come April, we handle the sales tax portion for you.

The only case where you would not have to pay tax would be if your company is tax exempt. To be eligible for a tax-free order you need to complete this
tax exempt form and fax it back to our customer service group at 616-248-7244 (attn: Steelcase Store Customer Service). Once we have that on record we will set you up in our system as tax-exempt and you won’t be charged tax on your order. Also, please be sure to include your email address and phone number on the tax exempt form as these are necessary for us to process your request.

I have a question on my charges.
Click the “My Account” link at the top right hand side of our site to review your orders. You may compare your order history on our website with your financial records. If you have further questions or concerns, please contact customer service at 800.516.3454.

I need a copy of my receipt/invoice.
Click the “My Account” link at the top right hand side of our site. Then click your order and then click the printable invoice link to print the invoice.

When will my credit appear on my account?
Credits usually take 7-10 business days from the time we receive your item(s).
