Comments about Details Walkstation:
I was greatly pleased to see that the office at my new job had two of these! Been wanting to try one ever since I first saw them on TV a few years ago; now I'm on it every workday (300 calories burned today, which is typical). We have a regular workout room also, but I use this more because I can still get plenty of work done while using it. Typing and using a mouse is easy while walking, and I stand close enough to the platform so that the full weight of my arms is supported; otherwise, it would probably put an undue strain on my arms or back (same as a regular desk). My only complaint is that walking makes it a bit challenging to manage certain fine-motor tasks. Example: While walking, clicking a specific cell in a spreadsheet is easy. Clicking the exact corner of the cell and dragging to apply its formula over multiple cells often takes a couple of tries to hit the corner exactly. Typing is no problem. Drawing, or writing in longhand? Forget it--save that for your regular desk.
Overall, this thing is excellent. You can still do all your thinking, typing, and talking on the phone (yes, it's that quiet) while burning calories. Why wouldn't you use it?

Comments about Details Walkstation:
Our workstation was added to our office almost a month ago. Immediately, I started using it. I started first with 30 minutes a day in the afternoon and now I am up to 60 minutes. I love it! It gives me a break from my desk and the minimum time I need 5 days per week to stay active. So far, I have shed 5 lbs. When you just can't find the time to exercise away from the office, then this is a great solution -- not to mention bonus to employers for their employees!

Comments about Details Walkstation:
I've had my Sit to Walk Station for a couple of weeks now, and am averaging 5 miles a day, some days more, some days less, depending on my meeting schedule. So, at this rate, I'll be walking at least a marathon's distance each week!
I can easily talk on the phone with my headset, and type and read my computer. The only activity that is difficult is handwriting.
My office mates walk by my office and pantomime walking on the treadmill, but it is more envy than ridicule!
Service and delivery comments:
THe delivery was on time, and the walkstation was in good shape when it got here. The white glove installers did a great job, and removed all the packing materials when they left.

Comments about Details Walkstation:
I walk 4 - 10 miles a day, when I used to be sitting. It's great to end the day and know that i have accomplished so much exercise! I find it easy to work on my laptop and make phone calls while walking.
I also love the customizability of the Walkstation. It's easy to set it up and get the right size and accessories for my office space.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was prompt and setup went well. I have had a few minor service issues that Steelcase and my dealer have effortlessly handled.

Comments about Details Walkstation:
The company I work for recently added 4 of these machines and we all LOVE them! It is so nice to be able to take a break from sitting down and be able to stroll while working. I have also found that it helps me focus and concentrate on what I am doing. I have been using our Walkstation for two hours a day and it has really helped increase my energy level. It makes working fun!!!

Comments about Details Walkstation:
I"ve had a Walkstation now for three months, and I thought I'd leave my impressions -- I suspect other potential buyers may be as curious for information as I was.
I'm a writer and I use the Walkstation in my home office.
Overall the Walkstation has been exactly as advertised. Most crucially, I find it easy to type and surf the web while walking. (I'm doing it right now, in fact.) I'm a freelance writer and I use the Walkstation while handling emails, writing invoices, doing light editing, reading the news, etc.
So far I get off the Walkstation when I have to do heavy thinking or creative work. It just seems like one extra thing I don't need when I'm really writing hard.
Overall, the time breezes by and I often realize "Jeez, I've been walking for an hour already."
I find that I go about two hours a day, and then seem to naturally quit. The most I've done in any one day is four hours, in two two-hour sessions.
Disappointments: I find I still need to stretch before using (and after), which is something I hated to do before running and other kinds of exercise. I also put on athletic socks and running shoes -- it IS a lot of walking, after all. So this doesn't get me out of those pre-exercise routines, alas.
Because of that, I hop on it a little less than I might otherwise for a 15-minute session while doing some small task.
It's still not a no-brainer to get on; I usually have to talk myself into it just a little bit. Once I'm there, though, it's always fine.
I also find there's a little bit of noticable strain on my upper calves and knees. I believe this is due to the slightly unnatural position of walking with both hands held forward to type, instead of swinging the arms as normal. If I walk for two hours outdoors my legs get tired overall, but here I notice the tiredness or soreness in those two particular points.
I chose the 66-inch scallop-shaped desk -- the one with the curved front -- and it's been very comfortable. I highly recommend the 66-inch desk; if anything, I could use even *more* space than that, although it's quite big as is.
Noise factor: It's *fairly* quiet for a treadmill, but by no means silent. It's fine for my home office, and my wife says she doesn't hear me when she's in the next room. But I wonder if it would be a distraction to others nearby in an office/cubicle setting.
Overall, the Walkstation does what I hoped it would do: get me walking for a couple hours a day when I would normally be sitting. Three months in, I'm glad I've got it.

Merchant response: Customer Review:
I ordered a rectangular surface and received a rounded surface for the desktop. It is not defective, but it is not what I thought I ordered. I believe there was a problem with the website when I ordered it online in that it did not give me feedback as to which surface I had selected. It may have defaulted to a top I was not expecting when it errored out on the ordering phase. I received a call back from the support lady and I returned her call promptly but the issue remains un-resolved. (she never followed up with me as to how we are going to resolve the issue).
