    Comments about Steelcase Move:

What's not to like? Our company uses this chair in the break room and we each want to sneak one home.
The chair has a fun design, clean lines, very comfortable and supports all sized people. :-)

How much weight will the armless chair hold?

        A:

        Hi Linda,

Move 490 series chairs (armless or armed) have been tested to increased loads and forces that exceed the ANSI/BIFMA X5.1 Standard. This testing ensures that Move chairs will support users weighing up to 300 lbs with no loss of performance.

    • Q:

Can I add casters (wheels?) to my Move chairs. If so, can you provide photos or descriptions of the difference between the carpet and hard floor casters. Thanks.

        A:

        Hello Steve,

Move chair frames are specifically manufactured for either glides or casters, so unfortunately you cannot add casters into a existing glide chair.
