Comments about Steelcase Leap WorkLounge:

I have been using the leather Leap WorkLounge chair + ottoman for most of the day and night for over five and a half years now and I do believe I couldn't live well without it. Obviously everybody (and every skeleton) is different, but I can sit for hours & hours on end in this thing and not have *any* back issues at all now. I certainly couldn't say that when I was younger and using different chairs and was in constant pain. I can perch in the Leap W/L in multiple positions, every which way - cross legged, leg swung over the wide arms to watch TV, you name it - and this chair both generously accommodates *and* subtly encourages varied movement which I am now convinced really does keep the back & neck healthy. I hope they keep making this til my last days on this earth - I intend to be buried in one - pain free!

Comments about Steelcase Leap WorkLounge:

I can and indeed often have hung out all day in this chair for the past 5+ years but my back, neck & tailbone are never worse for the wear.

Put it this way, I am not getting any younger, but my musculoskeletal system was 20 yrs older back in the days I used different (read:cheaper) chairs compared to now.

I think this is because the chair moves with users so subtly that it encourages - perhaps even 'trains' - me to move so blood flow never gets cut off anywhere?

However it does it, it works for me fantastically & it's the best & most useful chair I've ever owned. The only con I can really claim is that I got it in the white Elmo Soft leather so it suffers from me pulling my feet up & sitting cross legged & snacking, throwing my legs over the side and watching TV or from the dogs clawing for attention or a bite of what I'm eating.

But even so you really still can't tell from a distance how much I abuse it by living my whole daggum life in it.

The designers of this thing deserve financial compensation from my medical insurance company because they've saved them a bundle, that's for sure.

If you really want a 12 hour a day chair, this is the one! While at the top of the price point in executive seating, I can now see why. This is the chair I will retire in.

I ordered this chair for my home office. I was also looking for another chair that reclined and was more of a push back with an ottoman. I decided to combine my budgets for the 2 and get this chair and ottoman. I am very happy I did! Very nice, very comfortable, stable and looks great!

      Quality, Luxury and Performance

      Comments about Steelcase Leap WorkLounge:

The Leap Worklounge is solid, built to last, elegant and functional and I'm more than satisfied.  The materials used to make the chair are clearly of high quality and the attention to details is apparent.  I expect to be using this chair for many years to come.

It would be of added benefit if the headrest's pillow could be adjusted up or down to better accommodate different people's heights and I would prefer the armrests to be a few inches higher than what they are.

      Service and delivery comments:

Installnet contacted me on Monday and set up a delivery appointment for me the following day at 1 PM.  I can't say enough nice things about the driver who delivered my chair--he was on-time, efficient, accommodating and very friendly and personable.  He had my chair unpacked and in my room in no time at all.

I have this chair in my office and it's created all kinds of back trouble for me. The chair will not sit upright and the fixed arm rests are too low. I have always heard good things about Steelcase, but this chair has been a big disappointment.

                  Comments about Steelcase Leap WorkLounge:

This chair simply does't work as a primary desk chair. The chair is not designed to be upright enough to work at a desk.

The arms are set much too low to provide support, and they cannot be adjusted.

The only possible application in my opinion is for this chair to sit in a corner of your office as a lounge chair. Even then, the arms are set much loo low to enable one to get comfortable.

I think the design team missed the mark here by a wide margin.

I ordered a Leap Worklounge and found the right arm broken off. There was no damage to the box or shipping material. A replacement chair was sent and had the exact same issue with the right arm being broken off with zero damage to the shipping material. There's a serious quality control issue with these.
