Comments about Steelcase Criterion - High Back:
My chair was built in 1999. It is my home office chair and I am in it every day from 8 to 18 hours. This chair is phenomenal! After 12 years, except for a worn arm pad, it still works like new. There is hardly a squeak and all movement is smooth. I love it and I definitely recommend it to everyone!

Comments about Steelcase Criterion - High Back:
In the mid 1990's, my former company bought these chairs for all employees in my department. I recently called one of the employees to see if the chairs were still in use in order to get the model number. They are and I ordered one for my office.
Not only are these chairs workhorses, they are very comfortable, attractive and can be adjusted to fit almost anyone. I couldn't be happier with my new one.

Comments about Steelcase Criterion - High Back:
I have a Leap chair which I love but it was never big enough for my 6'4'' frame. This chair fits me perfectly and is is very comfortable however not as attractive or adjustable as the Leap. Would love a Leap Plus ... but this is the next best thing. Note: this review is for the Criterion Plus (a larger version of the Criterion)

This is the best office chair I've EVER had, and I've had many in the past. Although the chair is very pricey, you figure out why when you own one. This office chair does everything for you except your work.

Comments about Steelcase Criterion - High Back:
I bought this particular chair because I have just like it at my desk at work. I have just started to work from home, and I knew that I needed a good sturdy and comfortable chair to handle my big frame. (6'0")(300+ lbs.) This chair has adjustments for all positions so as to achieve the best level of support and comfort. I know from using this same type of chair for several years, that the material, hydraulics, and finish hold up very well from everyday use.

Comments about Steelcase Criterion - High Back:
I've had this chair since 1999 and still love it. I developed tendonitis about 1995 working with my arms unsupported, and this chair has been a lifesaver ever since I found it. Its immensely adjustable arms are key - and the back support is outstanding too. I can't recommend it highly enough, and 10 years of service and still beats out the higher priced chairs I try in stores or other offices.

Comments about Steelcase Criterion - High Back:
This chair is just about identical to the chair I use in my office at work. After years of dissatisfaction with other products and extensive research, I decided to spend the large sum of money and get this chair. It is expensive -- especially during these tough times -- but also that good. The price was worth it for me.
