I love this chair. I've been suffering with cheap big-box-office-retailer type tasks chairs for years. You know, the type that sells for around $100 and you have to assemble yourself. I am certain these chairs are why I developed piriformis syndrome. I kept going through a different cheapo chair each year, hoping I would get lucky and find one that would be comfortable enough. One year I got fed up and paid $400 for a Herman Miller, but that was uncomfortable too!

Then this year I went and got a Steelcase cobi after seeing them at my local University library. WOW! What a difference. I hate myself for waiting this long to discover Steelcase. The seat is very comfortable, I love how the chair flexes, and you can tell just by looking at it that it's built to last. I can now work for hours at a time without an aching body. If this is a low end model, I can't even imagine how a more upscale model like the Think would be! Now I'm planning on replacing my home office chairs with Steelcase products.

Great chair! I learned (the hard way) that a good chair makes a difference and ~$500 to $1000 is a small price to pay for your physical health. Cobi is great if you're on a budget.

I am a student taking online courses for a MS in Information Technology. This requires me to spend a good bit of the day at my desk. I am also fairly short (5'2) and small. My old chair hurt my back and rear after only a half hour and caused my legs to begin going numb. I could feel the backrest of my old chair grinding against my backbone. However, the Cobi is comfortable, and I can spend most of the day sitting in it with no discomfort. I love the grape color, the overall design and aesthetic appeal of the chair, and the way it conforms to my body when I change positions. It seems to promote better posture. The seat feel reminds me of sitting in a Mini Cooper with sport seats. The Cobi rolls easily and is lightweight. I also appreciate that it is cradle-to-cradle certified.

The chair is comfortable and I like the fact that visually it does not dominate the room. The base on the first chair broke soon after I received it, and Steelcase was very good about replacing it in a timely manner. The second chair has held up very well. I would recommend this chair.

The Cobi is the first Steelcase purchase I have made and I'm thrilled!

I am a squirmy worker, constantly changing sitting positions throughout the day, and particularly love that the Cobi bends and adjusts with me. It really is the most comfortable office chair I have ever used. I would recommend it for both its style and function.

It is at a higher price point than I originally wanted to pay for a home office chair, but after using it, I can definitely say it was worth every penny.

It's also worth noting that Steelcase's customer service is superb. Purchasing online with them was a breeze and when I had questions about a promotional gift with my order the representatives were courteous and incredibly quick to respond.

Delivery was prompt and the item was in perfect condition.

We just received this chair after I ordered it online for my daughter's bedroom. She loves it and it will grow with her for a long time. It is attractive and lightweight but not flimsy.
The only reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars is that I have not used it long enough to fully be aware of all its features (pro & con), but so far I am very pleased with it.
